Product Description This disposable R95 particulate respirator helps provide reliable respiratory protection against certain oil and non-oil based particles. Constructed with a carbon filter layer for nuisance levels of acid gases. From the Manufacturer 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8246, R95 with Nuisance Level Acid Gas Relief, is a disposable particulate respirator that is designed to help provide reliable respiratory protection of at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain oil and non-oil based particles. This lightweight respirator is constructed with carbon filter material for applications such as glass etching, chemical processing, paper processing, aluminum smelting, and brewing operations where particulates and nuisance levels of acid gases* such as sulphur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride and chlorine may be present. The respirator may also be appropriate for use while grinding, sanding, bagging, or sweeping in oil and non-oil environments and other dusty operations. Its adjustable noseclip helps in obtaining a secure seal and helps reduce the potential for eyewear fogging. The shell is collapse resistant for increased durability, and the respirator is compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection. This particulate respirator is a NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved R95 for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles and provides at least 95 percent filter efficiency. R-series particulate respirators can be used for up to 8 hours in environments where oil aerosols are present.*3M recommended for relief against nuisance levels of acid gases.
